The Fruit Hunters in Theaters November 2012

I have been working hard for a very long time, with my friend Brandon Blommeart, animating and creating visual effects for a documentary film called The Fruit Hunters, and we're finally able to share some snippets. Based on a book by the same name by Adam Leith Gollner, and directed by Yung Chang, who's other films include Up The Yangtze and China Heavyweight, this film promises to be a journey into the world of fruit hunting the likes you have never seen before.

Opens in theaters November 23rd, in Montreal and Toronto.

This is the 6th installment and it's gonna be a doozy, cause all the animation this year will be in stereoscopic 3D! Check out the announcement on the NFB blog

EN MASSE collaborative month-long event involving 28 of Montreal’s finest

I'm taking part in a collaborative month-long event with a slew of talented Montreal artists. Check out the crappening’s below and come support!
---

“EN MASSE” @ Galerie Pangee, co-curated by Tim Barnard and Jason Botkin, is an explosive encounter between the worlds of fine art, comix, and graffiti on a massive scale. This month-long event, running from February 1st to March 1st, will climax with an all-night party for Montreal’s Nuit Blanche on Saturday, February 28th, 2009.

Twenty-eght Montreal artists, chosen for their cutting-edge graphic styles, have been invited to invade the space of Pangee for an entire month of production, working to cover the walls in a collaborative ecstasy of mark making.

The exhibition opened on February 3rd as a blank canvas, with the walls covered in white paper from floor to ceiling.

The artists will cover this blank canvas during the month of February on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10am to 6pm. We invite you to come often, as this massive, once in a lifetime event project expands on a daily basis!

You are invited to the closing party on Saturday, February 28th from 6pm to 4am which is sponsored by the Nuit Blanche, Red Bull, Alternative, 33mag, and St. Ambroise.

THE SHATNER SHOW

Here's a little video promoting an art exhibition and book about the wonderous Billy Shatner. Yes little dudes, William Shatner is the subject of a new book being published by Uppercase out in Calgary. Well myself along with Mr.James Braithwaite (The Minuette Duet also known as Pony of Prey) collabed on a Shatner inspired art piece for Maisonneuve Magazine back in issue 19. The artwork has now been lovingly included along with about 75 artists in the Shatner Show book which will be available in mid June. The unveiling of the book will take place at Uppercase Gallery and on the web on June 15th and the gallery will be open to the public from June 16th till August 31st 2007. So have a look at www.theshatnershow.com for more info. The artwork featured in this little 128 page hard cover beauty is definitely a worthwhile frontier.

UPPERCASE is located on the upper level of Art Central, at the corner of 7th Avenue SW and Centre Street.
